True to its mission to advance telecommunications services nationwide, our Palau National Communications Corporation took off running even before the official launch of the international fiber optic cable, investing capital into infrastructure improvements in order to be ready to offer better, faster, and more affordable internet services. Thanks to the commitment of Belau Submarine Cable Corporation to operate at cost, and to PNCC’s continued efforts to provide new internet plans and services, both residents and visitors in Palau now enjoy faster and higher quality internet connectivity, at much lower rates. As we celebrate 25 years of independence together, it is a good time to recognize that our nation’s goal of universally accessible and affordable high-speed internet is closer than ever to fulfillment. The greater capacity, affordability, reliability, and speed of PNCC’s internet services will continue to facilitate Palau’s social and economic development by enabling telemedicine, e-learning, new business opportunities, and improved visitor services. We envision ourselves as the preferred choice. As the national communications corporation of the Republic, we are committed to improving ourselves to best serve our customers through technological advancements, quality products and customer-focused services. We align ourselves as one to maximize our customers’ satisfaction and to do the right thing for our communities. Message from the PNCC Board of Directors and CEO Palau National Communications Corporation Connecting Palau to the World – Omak er a Belau el mora Beluulechad With the lighting of Palau’s international fiber optic cable to the world in December 2017, we have truly entered an exciting era of technology development. Thanks to the new, affordable services made possible by Palau’s international fiber, our customers and our nation are more focused than ever on the advantages and convenience offered by high-speed internet and mobile data. As a semi-government agency driven by the mission to modernize telecommunications in Palau, it’s been a thrilling challenge to constantly introduce new and better communications services that meet our customers’ needs. During the past two years, PNCC has expanded mobile data coverage from Kayangel to Angaur, and we are continually investing capital to improve the nationwide internet network. To help our customers benefit from all the online opportunities for education, communication, healthcare, safety, and entertainment, we have developed many new mobile data and DSL plans for homes and businesses with much higher data capacity and faster internet speeds than ever. To aid our nation’s tourism industry, we’ve also launched new convenient services for visitors to Palau to access the global internet, such as 4G Pocket WiFi and a Visitor SIM card. The PNCC Board of Directors, management and staff will continue to push for new, improved, and innovative services that benefit our nation and our customers. We sincerely appreciate your ongoing support and encouragement as we take the PNCC standard of services to the next level.
